Whitney Museum of American Art

The Whitney Museum of American Art is an art gallery and museum in New York City founded in 1931 by Gertrude Vanderbilt Whitney.

Noted American artist Edward Hopper bequeathed his works to the Whitney Museum.

In addition to its traditional collection the Whitney has an internet website that features "NetArt."
