Wetherby is a town in the county of West Yorkshire, England, near Boston Spa, on the River Wharfe. The ruins of
Wetherby Castle are just
outside the town.
Wetherby was listed in the Doomsday Book and was a place for crossing
the River Wharfe. As a result it had many Inns, which are now pubs and it is somewhere many people choose to stop for
refreshements and fish and chips (at the Wetherby Whaler) on the way to the Yorkshire Dales and Harrogate.
