Weezer

Weezer is an American rock and roll band. The specific genre of their music is debated, although it can be said that their style is related to Alternative rock and/or Emo. They formed on February 14, 1992. They have released four full length albums, an EP, a DVD, and their debut album was recently rereleased as a deluxe edition. An as-of-yet untitled fifth album is expected to be released in late 2004 or early 2005.

The band currently consists of the following four members:

  • Rivers Cuomo, vocals, guitar
  • Brian Bell, backing vocals, guitar
  • Scott Shriner, backing vocals, bass (on Maladroit-present)
  • Patrick Wilson, drums

Former members:

  • Jason Cropper, guitar (Feb. 1992 - Sept. 1993)
  • Matt Sharp, bass (on The Blue Album and Pinkerton)
  • Mikey Welsh, bass (on The Green Album)

Former member Matt Sharp played bass and sang backing vocals on The Blue Album and Pinkerton. He has released two albums with his own band, The Rentals, a current solo EP, Puckett's versus The Country Boy, and a self-titled full-length album.
