Vibrio

Vibrio is a genus of bacteria, a member of the gamma group of the Proteobacteria, normally associated with diarrheal disease and other symptoms.

Species include:

• Vibrio cholerae, the agent that causes cholera
• Vibrio vulnificus, associated with infections after eating seafood
• Vibrio parahaemolyticus
