The World Is Not Enough (1999) is the nineteenth of the
"Broccoli" James Bond films and the third to star Pierce Brosnan as Bond. The film's title is a reference to the motto on Bond's
family crest, Orbis non sufficit.
This was Desmond Llewelyn's last appearance as "Q" before his death in December, 1999. The film also introduced "Q"'s successor "R" played by John
Cleese.

The film begins with Bond in Bilbao, Spain investigating the death of an MI6 agent. (During this sequence, the exterior of the Guggenheim Museum is shown a couple of times.) He meets in a building,
several stories above the ground floor, with Lachaise, a Swiss banker, attempting to find out the identity of the assassin. Bond
asks Lachaise for the name of the person in question, but Lachaise is reluctant to answer. Soon, the tension in the conversation
escalates to a point where Lachaise threatens Bond's life with a gun. Bond cunningly protects himself by firing a tear gas bomb
disguised as a gun which resting on the desk before him not by directly touching it, but by activating it remotely through a
special apparatus in his eyeglasses.
Using the element of surprise to his advantage, Bond puts Lachaise—still alive—under his gun, and declares an
ultimatum: Lachaise must disclose the name of the assassin, or Bond will fire the gun.
