Around the 6th century CE , the Visigoth king Reccared (the son of Leovigild),
renounced his belief in Arianism and became a devout Christian for a number of
reasons. He then forcefully converted as many as 90,000 Jews and thousands of other so-called "non-believers" to
Christianity.
