Queen Anne's War (1702-1713) is
the name given to the military operations in North America that formed
part of the War of the Spanish
Succession. It was one of the French and Indian
Wars. The most significant outcome of this war was the conquest of the French
colony of Acadia and its annexation as the
British colony of Nova Scotia. It
was settled by the Treaty of Utrecht
(1713).
