A numeral is a written word, symbol, or group of symbols that represents a number. The numerals "1, 2, 3, ..., 10, 11, 12, ..." are Arabic numerals, differing from Roman numerals "I, II, III, ..., X, XI, XII,..." but they represent the
same numbers. Similarly, words can be numerals: "one, two, three, ... , ten, eleven, twelve, ...". In the hexadecimal numeral system, used with computers, the symbols from "A" to "F" are
numerals for the decimal values 10 through 15. More exotic ways to represent numbers include Church numerals.
