Mount Olympus

In Greek mythology, Mount Olympus (also transliterated as Mount Olýmpos) is the home of the Twelve Olympians, the principal gods in the Greek pantheon.


Mt. Olympus is the tallest mountain in Greece, at 2917 meters high. There are also as many as 18 other mountains by the same name, including ones in the Greek islands, Cyprus, Asia Minor, New Zealand, Tennessee, Utah, and Washington; there is also Olympus Mons on Mars.
