The Mongols under Kubilai who fully conquered China had theoretical suzerainty over the entire Mongol Empire, but this became nominal even during Kubilai's reign itself.

Lingdan Khan's son Ejei surrendered to Hong Taiji and the title of Grand Khan was succeeded by Manchu Emperors.
