Cushitic languages

The Cushitic languages are a subgroup of the Afro-Asiatic languages phylum. They are spoken in the Horn of Africa. The most prominent language is Oromo with about 9 million speakers. Somali, spoken in Somalia has about 5 million speakers and Afar, spoken in Ethiopia, has about 1.5 million.
